Biden's job approval hits new low: poll

In an exclusive Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll released Friday, President Biden's approval rating fell to 38%.

17 percent of registered voters "strongly approve" of Biden's job performance, while 21% "somewhat approve."

39 percent "strongly disapproved" of Biden's job, while 16 percent "approve somewhat."

Biden is dealing with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and record-high inflation in the US.

On Tuesday, Biden will deliver his first State of the Union address to Congress.

"At a time when inflation and economic anxiety are at record highs, the president has hit a new low.

The president has lost every major domestic and foreign policy issue "Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll co-director Mark Penn.

In the same poll, 64% of registered voters said Biden is "lenient" with Russia, while 31% said he does "just fine."

Feb. 23-24 The Harvard Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll collaborated on it.

The survey uses an online Harris Panel sample with known demographics. No probability confidence interval is reported for the online sample.
