'The Holocaust isn't about race,' Whoopi Goldberg said on 'The View'.

When Whoopi Goldberg said "the Holocaust isn't about race," she sparked outrage. Her remarks

CAME DURING AN ABC TALK SHOW SEGMENT ON MONDAY ABOUT A TENNESSEE SCHOOL

DISTRICT'S DECISION TO BAN A GRAPHIC NOVEL DEPICTING THE HORRORS OF THE HOLOCAUST. THE BOOK WAS

REMOVED FROM THE EIGHTH-GRADE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS CURRICULUM EARLIER THIS MONTH

DUE TO "ROUGH, OBJECTIONABLE LANGUAGE" AND A DRAWING OF A NUDIST. ASKED IF THE

SCHOOL BOARD WAS CONCERNED ABOUT "MAUS," GOLDBERG SAID SHE WAS SURPRISED, WHILE CO-HOST

JOY BEHAR SAID THE NUDITY CONCERNS WERE "A CANARD TO DISTRACT YOU FROM THE FACT THAT THEY DON'T LIKE HISTORY THAT MAKES WHITE

PEOPLE LOOK BAD." IN REFERENCE TO THE HOLOCAUST, GOLDBERG SAID, "THIS IS WHITE PEOPLE .

DOING IT TO WHITE PEOPLE, SO FIGHT AMONG YOURSELVES." HOWEVER, NONE OF THE CO-HOSTS DISPUTED."
