Money Heist Season 5: on Netflix release date and what could happen now

Netflix has shown two new characters, including a significant person from life in Tokyo who has been tamed from the first episode, presented in Money Heist section 5.

Following Sky Rojo’s popularity, actor Miguel Ángel Silvestre once again teams up with Alex Pina to play the role of Tokyo’s first criminal partner, René, who was murdered at the opening of the series.

Although mentioned many times, René was never seen on film and his official appearance aids in getting Money Heist’s complete circle as it approaches his significant conclusion.

“100 hours seemed like a hundred years.” Tokyo described its present state of mind in the trailer when the Professor revealed that the stormwater tank was found and that Colonel Tamayo was ready for his military to invade the Bank of Spain.

Here is the official summary of the fifth season:

“The gang has been locked for almost 100 hours at the Bank of Spain. They have succeeded in saving Lisbon, but their worst time is over them after losing their own. The Professor was kidnapped by Sierra and has no escape strategy for the first time. Just when nothing else seems to go wrong, an adversary arrives in the picture, which is far more strong than anybody else they faced: the army. The conclusion of history’s biggest theft is nearing, and what was started as a robbery will become a battle.”

Cast includes Ursula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Pedro Alonso, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Enrique Arce, Rodrigo de la Serna, Darko Peric, Najwa Nimri, Hovik Keuchkerian, Luka Peros.

Money Heist season 5 release date

The final season will be published in two volumes, with the first half being launched on 3 September and the second part is on 3 December.

Season 5 of Money Heist may have taken longer to receive green, but the renewal came as no surprise because Netflix’s fourth excursion was the worldwide top 10 list when it was released last year.

The streamer has lately shut off a lot of his programs before they finish their continuing narrative, but luckily that was not the case.

The filming of season five of Money Heist finished up in May 2021, as Netflix announced on Twitter with a group picture of the actors.

Which Cast Members Will Return for Money Heist Part 5, and who are the new characters?

Part of the thrill of this Netflix original is the outstanding Spanish ensemble that very quickly persuaded the audience that maybe so-called evil people are not that terrible. Many favorites like Berlin (Pedro Alonso), Nairóbi (Alba Flores), and Moscow have already received farewells (Paco Tous). Not only were these deaths unexpected but infamous in the unfolding events of the program, so obviously, nobody in this heist is sure.

However, does it imply that in Part 5, these characters will not emerge again? From what we could say in Season 4, Berlin was highly prominent in the program through different flashbacks, and it will continue to appear in Season 5. But we are not sure that Nairóbi will also not emerge in flashbacks. We certainly hope so!

Netflix has also revealed that Sky Rojo actor Miguel Ángel Silvestre is joining the cast Money Heist as René, Tokyo’s first love, who was murdered in a heist prior to the first episode.

Watch the Money Heist Season 5 Trailer

Since Money Heist Part 5 Volume 1 is going out very soon, the trailer for the first chapter of Money Heist’s conclusion has been published by Netflix. Part 5 Vol. 1 will be highly intense, from what we can say! The stakes are enormous after Sierra has overpowered the defenseless thieves inside the Bank of Spain. The teaser is plenty with action and concerns about what will happen next.

Money Heist Season 5 plot

Season 5 of Money Heist takes that cliffhanger, with a few more plots to solve when the program comes back.

Previously, the gang assaulted the Royal Mint of Spains (part 1 and 2) in Money Heist, while parts three and part 4 centered on the band’s effort to melt and steal all the gold inside the Bank of Spain.

For a brief summary: Season quatre began in a usual dramatic way, with one Gang Member, Nairobi (Alba Flores), battling for their lives in the bank while the Professor was running, trying to deal with the idea that his love of life was killed by police, ex-police officer Lisbon.

It seemed like the gang was unlikely, but the Professor always had a plan, of course. And the season, as fans who have looked at the entire thing, ends with the sad death of Nairobi spectacularly.

Jesús Colmenar, Money Heist’s managing producer, told Entertainment Weekly how this would influence the rest of the events, bringing the frail band of thieves together in their last fight.

“Nairobi represented the heart of the gang in a sense, and [she] had a terrible time in this final season because this is a direct clash,” he added. “But the other characters will inspire her legacy.”

This is where we left each other at the conclusion of season four of Money Heist:

Tokyo, the ardent and impetuous young lady, is with the rest of the group inside the bank.

Professor (Àlvaro Morte) pulled out the dramatic release of Lisbon, but in the final minutes of four seasons got an unexpected guest.

Lisbon (Itziar Ituno), after a clever scheme for her escape, gets out of imprisonment, but she is now in the bank.

The now-disgraced police officer Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) is on a one-woman mission to pick up her adversary, The Professor. Unfortunately, the Professor surrounded, leaving the team with no escape…

Finally, the Easter egg to which we were presented. If you looked at the credits, you would have heard ‘Bella Ciao’ playing the resistance hymn. The song plays on many themes in the series, but this time it has more significance than the actress Najwa Nimri. Just before that, you can hear those struggling with Berlin and Sergio singing. Will Alicia join the team? At this time, we are uncertain, but we would add that Nimri also speaks the final line of speech before the credits.

Fans offered their thoughts as well. One is that Alicia is really Tatiana, the wife of Berlin. This doesn’t seem like us since Diana Gomez, not Nimri, portrays tatiana, but she has a resemblance. However, we’re not going to exclude a link yet.

While the cast doesn’t give much to what follows next, Úrsula Corberó, who portrays Tokyo, spoke to Identity Mag about the connection between her and Rio.

“I wondered whether this connection was poisonous or not. From the very start, we can see it with Rio’s vulnerability and Tokyo being extremely protective of him. But maybe it’s a little poisonous due to the personality of Tokyo.

“For the future of them… I know how from here it’s going to go… As I understand it, there are basically two teams — and on social media, we can see this very clearly. Other people want Tokyo and Rio together while some individuals really oppose their relationship and don’t want them ever together again.”

In his chat with EW, Pina also disclosed a few crucial narrative elements. “We go from a chess game – an intellectual approach – to a military strategy: assault and struggle,” he added. “We are constantly trying to make our adversaries charming, smart, brilliant. In this instance, we are also looking for characters whose intellect can measure up to Professor’s in pure combat picture genre.”

“Adrenaline is in the DNA of Money Heist, he said. Every thirty seconds, things happen, and the characters interrupt, turning the screw into action. The adrenal, combined with emotions from totally complicated, fascinating, previewable people, continue to the Bank of Spain until the conclusion of the robbery.” But the group is now being driven into irrevocable situaciones, into a chaotic battle, the epic portion of everything that we filmed. “It’s action and emotion, dark humor and drama, romance and sorrow.”
